Vertis signed up as agent for BioMCN in Central Europe
Almere (Netherlands) and Budapest (Hungary), 21 December 2011 - Environmental commodity broker Vertis Environmental Finance have signed an agency agreement with BioMCN for the representation and sales of bio-methanol in Central Europe. BioMCN is the largest 2nd generation biofuels producer in the world, producing high quality bio-methanol from renewable resources on an industrial scale. As a fuel, bio-methanol can either be blended with gasoline, or it can be used as a feedstock for other environmentally friendly fuels. It is also used for a variety of non-fuel applications including plastics and paints.
“We are very pleased with this agreement with BioMCN, as we are confident about the opportunities for second generation biofuels in the region” – said Barna Barath, CEOVertis Environmental Finance. “We strive to deliver innovative products to make it easier for our clients to comply with European and local regulations in a commercially and environmentally viable manner” – he added.
Rob Voncken, CEO of BioMCN: “This agreement with Vertis Environmental Finance is another important step in supplying our bio-methanol customers throughout Europe. We are particularly pleased with Vertis as partner, because of its strong position and broad experience in Central Europe.
