Aarhus (Denmark), 21 December 2011 - Nordic green has signed an Agency Agreement with BioMCN for the representation and sales of bio-methanol inthe Nordic (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland) and Baltic (Estonia, Latvia andLithuania) countries. Nordic green will also represent BioMCN worldwide for fuel cell applications.

BioMCN is the world’slargest producer of 2nd generation biofuels, producing high quality bio-methanol from renewable resources on an industrial scale. As a fuel, bio-methanol can either be blended withgasoline, or it can be used as a feedstock for other environmentally friendly fuels (e.g. bio-MTBE and bio-diesel).It is also used for a variety of non-fuel applications including plastics and paints.
Nordic greens focus markets include;
- Gasoline low blends, where up to 3 percent bio-methanol can be blended into gasoline;
- Bio-diesel production, where methanol is needed for the production process;
- Fuel cells, where methanol is an easier to handle energy-carrier than hydrogen.

Per SuneKoustrup, CEO Nordic green: “We are very pleased with this agreement which makes us the sole distributor of the world’s biggest producer of bio-methanol, BioMCN, in the Nordic and Baltic countries. Our joint focus on second generation bio-methanol will contribute to the reduction in global CO2 emissions and an increased energy-independence of Europe.”

Rob Voncken, CEO BioMCN: “This agreement with Nordic green is another important step in supplying our bio-methanol customers throughout Europe. The Nordic and Baltic countries are particularly important, as they are known for their leading role in implementing renewable energy and creating bio-based economies.”

About Nordic green
At Nordic green we are proud to be the world’s first company focusing solely on the introduction and use of second generation (2G) green-methanol. Since our green-methanol is made from residues there is no “food vs. fuel” controversy. Due to the production method, we support the already globally existing bio-fuel production, by re-using their residues, thereby making even greener products available.We focus on the gasoline low blend-, bio-diesel- and fuel cell markets.For more information about Nordic green, please visit: www.nordicgreen.eu
