Biodiesel

Biodiesel is made through a transesterification process of vegetable oil and methanol.

By using bio-methanol instead of regular methanol the overall CO2 reduction potential of biodiesel can be further improved. This allows biodiesel producers to meet and outperform the current default values set in the Renewable Energy Directive. This is especially of interest in case the targets values for CO2 emission reductions are increased even further.
