Guarantee of origin
Chemically speaking, bio-methanol is identical to regular methanol. It can be used in the same way and for the same applications as regular methanol. Because bio-methanol is made from biomass, it is supplied with a declaration based on our process, audited by Ernst & Young Accountants, which states the origin of the renewable resources.
We are one of the founding companies of BiofuelGO, a pan-European initiative established to implement a certificate system for biofuels. Instead of trying to trace the flow of individual fuel batches, a biofuel ‘book and claims’ system registers the amount and quality of biofuels that enter and are taken out of the fuel system. The biofuelGO consortium uses the same approach as RECS (the Renewable Energy Certificate System) to provide proof that biofuels are made from renewable resources, while providing additional information about sustainability and CO2 reduction.
